Walkabout Games is happy to announce their cooperation with Irdorath, a Belariusan fantasy-folk music band, on Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of Forest, a savage horror game to release on October 13th. The publisher also released a new Dev Diary for the title.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest is the upcoming savage horror game that adapts the mechanics of the legendary RPG system. In this story-focused experience, you play Maia, a young girl who comes to Poland looking for her roots and gets drafted into an ancient war.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest will launch on October 13, 2020, on PC, Mac, and Linux through Steam, GOG.com, and GeForce Now, at $14.99 / €12.49 / £11.39, with a seven day long 10% release discount.
The game is set in the Bialowieza Forest, near the Polish-Belarusian border. Since the developers sympathize with Belarusians considering their political situation, they asked a Belarusian fantasy-folk music band Irdorath for permission to use their song Vaukalak in the game.
Vaukalak is about a creature from Belarusian mythology: a person that transformed into a wolf using magic to punish his enemies.
A new weekly Dev Diary is also available to see. This time, Werewolf’s lead designer Artur Ganszyniec answers the frequently asked question: Will hardcore fans enjoy Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest?
Heart of the Forest will release on October 13th, 2020 for PC, Mac and Linux via Steam, GOG.com and GeForce Now. A playable demo will be available during Steam Autumn Festival, from 7th to 13th October. On 13th October, the developers will stream the game live and discuss its production as well as their connection with the World of Darkness RPG universe.
