Endless Legend Hits No. 1 Sales Spot on Black Friday During Steam Autumn Sale
Paris, France — December 8, 2014 — In response to overwhelming activity during Steam’s recent Autumn Sale, critically-acclaimed indie developer Amplitude Studios revealed today it has sold more than 1.2 million combined units of its “Endless” games Endless Legend, Endless Space and Dungeon of the Endless since it created the studio two and half years ago. The 40-person French developer hit its peak on Black Friday as Endless Legend firmly sat atop the best-selling charts for the majority of the day.
Critical acclaim for Endless Legend:
- “At every stage Endless Legend shines. Where it takes from the past, it puts its own spin on it. Where it innovates, it does so cautiously and successfully. Amplitude Studios has created another astounding story-driven game that really has taken the best bits of RTS, RPG and 4X. This is a game that wannabe developers should play and learn from.” – 89/100 PC Gamer
Critical Acclaim for Endless Space:
- “I could honestly write a thousand words more on what makes Endless Space so much more addicting and absorbing than the bulk of its contemporaries. Visually, it’s detailed and opulent where it needs to be, yet simple and clean everywhere else. It makes its voluminous level of complexity accessible with a terrific interface which affords a pace and ease of management that few other games in the genre can match. But I’m not going to write those thousand more words, folks. I’ve got a galaxy that’s waiting to be conquered, one more time.” – 90/100 Game Revolution
Critical Acclaim for Dungeon of the Endless:
- “Dungeon of the Endless’ artistic direction, in both visuals and sound production, is an uncanny marriage, a throwback to our childhood, that somehow manages to also feel very contemporary, very up-to-date, and to convey more than just stuff moving on the screen, to immerse one in the unforgiving journey through the decrepit game world.” – 4/5 Softpedia
Known for its deep, engaging, and gorgeous 4X strategy games, Amplitude Studios won the venerable 2013 Golden Cube and Community Choice Unity Awards for Endless Space. Amplitude recently released its new 4X fantasy-strategy game Endless Legend and the rogue-like dungeon defense game, Dungeon of the Endless this fall.
