Sony was sure to plug at least a little bit of Destiny 2 content during their Press Conference today, and frankly, they didn’t show off that much at all. What little we did see was a short trailer that mostly announced what content will launch exclusively for the PlayStation 4 platform when Destiny drops this fall.
PlayStation users will get access to the “Lake of Shadows” strike, the “City Apex” exclusive ship, the “Borealis” an exclusive exotic weapon, and “Retribution” an exclusive PVP map.
Previous exclusive content originally would find its way to Xbox One users after a year, but the previous Destiny 1 content has yet to still be released, despite that year already coming and going. It’s unclear if Xbox One or PC users will ever see this content.
Destiny will launch on September 6th on Playstation 4, and Xbox One, as opposed to the original September 8th release date. PS4 and Xbox One gamers will get Beta access July 18th on PS4, and July 19th on Xbox One for those who pre-ordered the game. An Open Beta was also announced and will hit both consoles on July 21st and last until July 23rd.
PC users will get to suit up and get their Destiny fix when it hits the high-end platform on October 24th. PC users will gain Beta access sometime in August.
