Bethesda will be unleashing the horror of The Evil Within 2 on October 13th. Yes, it will be released on Friday the 13th, which can be viewed as something akin to fate to experience new terror.
The trailer shown during the E3 presentation shows off very grotesque imagery and more horrific story elements than in the previous game, which may very well feed a genre starved appetite, and satisfy anyone who felt the original game was lacking.
Resident Evil designer Shinji Mikami directed the original 2014 release, which was developed by Tango Gameworks and was their first title as a new studio. This sequel is by the same team and from what they have shown us in the video, they appear to wield far more confidence with this sequel. Not much was shown to give us a clue on what to expect control or even story-wise, other than your character is set on a path to save his daughter, Lily. However, the slick visuals and dark tone intriguingly crawl under our skin and raise hairs in nervous anticipation.
