Bethesda took to their E3 Showcase stage this year to announce new mod creation tools for Fallout 4 and Skyrim, in the form of the Creation Club service.
They will be teaming up with content creators to bring legitimate and official mods to both Fallout 4 and Skyrim. These mods will be available for purchase on respective mod marketplaces for each system. Bethesda will be working closely with these creation partners to curate, approve and even help improve these new additions. Unfortunately, already existing mods will not be part of this new system.
What is impressive about this program is that these mods will not block Achievement or Trophy support, unlike the current mod system. This will be amazing news for all of those achievement hunters that have thus far been staying away from modding their games in fear of not attaining recognition for their hard work.
The tools that Bethesda is putting into place are designed to make mod support far easier to get into and make their use in games far more stable.
Creation Club will be making its way to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC mod marketplaces this summer.
