E3 2017 – Assassin’s Creed: Origins Announced at Microsoft E3 Press Conference

Keeping Assassin’s Creed Origins a secret hasn’t been the easiest job for Ubisoft as the game has been leaked multiple times over the course of the past year. Today, at the Microsoft E3 Press Conference, the game has officially been shown off and it looks like we are off to Egypt. Origins will release this year on October 27th for Xbox One and PS4.

Origins will feature a new protagonist, Bayek, an “Egyptian Sheriff”. Returning to his home, Siwa, Bayek¬†looks to eliminate a fake oracle named Medunamun.

The gameplay trailer on stage showed off some very new and interesting ideas. You’ll be able to take control of your eagle, and will feature an upgrade system. Enemies will also drop loot that you can equip to Bayek to make him far more of an effective assassin.

The game was shown off running on Xbox One X in 4K, which was stated to be the best looking version of the game.

In typical Ubisoft fashion, the variety of editions were announced as well. The Deluxe Edition includes the base game, a printed hand-drawn world map, soundtrack, and the Digital Deluxe Pack; including the Ambush at Sea naval mission, the Desert Cobra Pack, and three bonus ability points.

The Gold Edition will include all the content found in the Deluxe Edition plus the Season Pass. This Pass will include access to all upcoming major expansions and equipment sets. The Gold Edition will be in a Steelbook.

Gamers who take advantage of Pre-Ordering the game will receive the ‘Secrets of the First Pyramids’ mission. This content will see players discover the secrets behind the construction of the first pyramids.
