Cosplay Pool Party makes a splash with Kickstarter

Pop culture content producers NRD4 Entertainment announced today the launch of their webseries Cosplay Pool Party.  The show features Lauren Matesic of Castle Corsetry as she collaborates with a group of cosplayers to design one-of-a-kind pop-culture inspired swimsuits for an epic pool party photoshoot.

The first season covers cosplayers designing suits with Lauren around characters from the hit video game Overwatch. Once a week for seven weeks NRD4 will be airing a new mini episode on YouTube.

A crowdfunding campaign has begun to combine the seven minute episodes with unseen footage to create a full thirty minute pilot, as well as to raise funds for future episodes of the series.

“Our cosplayer line-up is incredible.  We were thrilled when all seven women agreed to be in this first season.” – NRD4 Entertainment’s James Wade.

“Who wouldn’t want to see these ladies dressed up as their prospective characters.” – NRD4 Entertainment’s Mike L. Taylor.

“Of course each cosplayer is gorgeous, but the show itself focuses heavily on the design, process, and thought that designers put into the creation of a costume, which really sets it apart from other ‘Cosplay’ shows. Cosplay isn’t just about dressing up as a character; it’s about becoming the character, and each of our girls truly embodies their role.” – Designer Lauren Matesic

“There’s something about when you feel that a character looks like you – you kinda have this instant bond with them and it starts this love affair…” – Cosplayer Milynn Sarley, portraying Pharah in Episode 101
