E3 2017 – Bethesda Finally Announces Skyrim for Nintendo Switch.

Remember that time, as the Dragonborn when you raced through the mountains and countryside, clothed in the Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild tunic and Master Sword clutched in your hand and heroically faced a fierce dragon? No? Well, this year on the Nintendo Switch, you will be able to do just that.

When Nintendo first showed off its handheld hybrid console it showcased a few games running on the hardware; The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim was one of them, and finally, the game is almost upon us.

The Switch version of Skyrim will feature three official add-on’s for the title; Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn.

Motion controls are also coming to Skyrim on the Switch with the Joycon’s assisting in combat and lockpicking. It will simulate the drawing of a bow with the Joycon’s and the sometimes nerve-wracking attempts at lockpicking. This will give the game an amazing feel and bring some fresh gameplay experiences to a game many of us have traversed countless times.

Here is Bethesda’s official statement on Skyrim for Switch:

“The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch includes all-new gameplay features like motion controls for combat and lockpicking, outfits and gear from The Legend of Zelda. Take down enemies with the Master Sword, protect yourself with the Hylian Shield or look heroic in the Champion’s Tunic. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch also includes all official add-ons: Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn. Plus tap other compatible amiibo to gain additional loot including those from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild series, 30th Anniversary – The Legend of Zelda series, Super Smash Bros. series, and The Legend of Zelda series.”
